Hairy Women

Hiya

I'm watching a program on TV at the moment about hairy women and it's shocking and funny all at the same time!

They're chatting to various people and the reactions from most of the blokes are quite frankly disgusting...but completely normal.

Why is it expected for women to do x, y and z as part of a normal routine? Since when did it become a "natural" state of affairs?

So what do you think? Does it bother you? One man said he'd order his girlfriend to shave if she hadn't...

Whats an acceptable level of hairiness?

Tell me all!

minxy minxy minxy ...

you are talking to a bunch of complete perverts... so - from my point of view even stubles can make me go crazy biggrin.gif

but i have to say i prefer the shaved way - here some reasons

1.) shaved parts of the body are not so sweaty... thats why i shave my armpits... (and my ass dry.gif ) mad.gif it's more hygienic
(this has nothing to do with pubic hair)

2.) it looks better - or you see more of the importand parts smile.gif

3.) oralsex is much more fun when you know where your tongue is working... and you don't have to stop just to spit out some hair...

4.) maybe men like shaved pussys more - cause they seem to be young? (don't really know about that - but it could make sense - right?)

5.) women don't have as much hair on their body (chest - beard) as man have - so maybe shaving even the smallest bunch of hair makes you more feminin?

but the point you you are making (if i understood you correctly) is that society demands a women to shave? right? well in my case - i shave my pubic hair (and my ass dry.gif ) mad.gif too. so thats not limited to the female world...

yes but you shave parts of your body because you want to and not because society demands it. that's the difference between male and female halves. so, as the world reorganize itself about shaving and hygienic norms, it seems the female world has to lose, in terms of personal freedom and individual choices even if petty or minimal as you please, but anyway defining our self i mean ourselves

guys we live in a society that expects women to shave their legs and under arms, for some they only shav wax etc as it is considered unsexy if a woman has hair in view that is not on their head.

as for intimate parts then yes that is up to us, i mean society does not dictate or expect us to shave there.

me i shave anyway cos i hate loooking like a hairy gorilla and i am sure trev would not like it anyway

It's only a matter of time before men have to shave too...
- many already do - shaved legs ARE sexier. No question about it.

The whole thing about body hair has mainly to do with culture. In Britain and particularly in the US women are expected to have hairless legs and armpits. I was surprised the first time my then girlfriend (from Germany) pulled off her t-shirt to reveal a mop of hair under each armpit! Apparently in Germany, it was not expected that women shave their armpits....

Som blokes find shaved pubes a terrific turn on. I remember an impromtu discussion at my sports club around this theme. The younger blokes (in their 20's) all preferred women with shaved pubes. One young man even went so far as to say that he found hairy pubes such a turn off that he couldn't have sex with a women who didn't shave. The older blokes (40 years and over) seemed to be indifferent as to whether their women had hairy pubes or not.

This might have to do with porn. I remember the porn magazines I sneekily read in my misspent youth showing very few models with shaved pubes. Today there are hardly any women porn models with hairy pubes.

As for myself - I am one of the over 40 years old indifferent types, though I do have my limits. I remember a girlfriend who was very hairy, she liked me to do oral on her, but the undergrowth was in the way. She is the only women I have asked to shave. I also find facial hair on a woman a turn off. As said this is my personal taste and every man is different.

women should shave. it gives them something to do when they're not washing dishes or baking me a pie.

sorry but i disagree. i like to see my partner with hair on his legs, underarms etc. i mean it makes him a man, ie more masculine.

Interesting thread- I prefer shaved, but not over fussy and I certainly don't find pubic hair unsexy. My wife likes to keep her legs, charmpits waxed and has me trim her pubic hair short, which I like doing - makes both of us horny and usually ends in a good session. I've had a couple of conversations with women friends lately in which this topic has come up in passing. Both know other women who work in beauty shops and report increasing numbers of women and men getting all pubic/anal hair removed. In the case of blokes, it's apparently called a "back, sack and crack" job. The thought makes my eyes water, but I have seen a few chaps in the change room at my local swimming pool who have had it all removed. We also have a couple of married friends where both partners are depilated, and they do it because they find it a turn on.

Well it looks like I'm the only woman who finds it a complete bore and isn't always to be found entirely groomed when I'm not working!

Will be back with more thoughts later.

They absorb smells
They occlude the sight
They are annoying in the mouth
They are useless
They were useful when we lived in caves, to protect our genitals from dirt, nowadays they are superfluous.
Just my 2 cents, of course

I have to disagree with most of the comments here...

I love hairy women...hairy armpits, legs, fanny the lot. I much prefer the natural state. I find shaven womens genitals a little off putting, it reminds me of small girls.

I want a woman not a child!

The world has been brainwashed by Gillette!!

You raise interesting points...on the one hand women should shave their pubic hair in order to look younger and childlike and on the other hand they should do it to make them more feminine, which in itself is a social constuction that we grow into..

And you shave because you CHOOSE to, not because society thinks you're weird or a freak if you don't, so it doesn't count!

But why would Trev find it unattractive? Personal taste or because that's what he's supposed to think is attractive? And I'd argue that actually society does expect us to manicure our pubes at the very least!

I would agree with this, but I think it's that for older men there is often more to sex and intimate liasons that sheer looks, like stretch marks and scars, I find older guys aren't so critical and are more understanding, they don't expect everything to be perfect because they know that real life isn't like that, and that porn isn't real life!!

I'm inclined to agree that we no longer need them as a sexual feature or for the protection they offered, do you think that evolution will do away with body hair? And if so what about for men?

Can't you tell it's killing me?

yes i can tongue.gif
and i agree about the older men comment. indeed reading the replies i see a generational gap-e between the young and old: mature members seem to be more tolerant or acquiescent towards hairy pussies, some prefer and want only that , being the natural way, at least the way we grew up with. i have essentially met same-age women and so a not shaved pussy is "the" pussy for me. i personally also like haired armpits and sometimes their smell is highly erotic to me; all of a sudden, in the street, when i cross the path of an "odorous" woman, i can feel a strong sexual desire
while i see that younger members think shaved is the natural way. that's the way society changes its aesthetical parameters and there's little to do about it. 50 years ago tanned bodies were thought of as denoting humble origin or condition, as of peasants working the crop in the sunny fields, etc... now we are even looking for artificial tanning, and there are people unnaturally tanned all year long
anyway, in my view, women have no duties, at least no more than men, apart from kids care and i'm skeptical about that duty too. so shaving still belongs to the realm of individual choices. so, no fucking man or society can demand it mad.gif tongue.gif that doesnt mean i wouldnt ask an haired girlfriend to shave herself. but so i could ask for anal fisting. i would just express that as my strong feeling and desire, not saying "do it because everyone does". i want a woman, not a sheep crazy.gif laugh.gif

hmm - noone (at least here in austria) forces a women to shave her pubic hair... so we are obviously talking about the armpits and legs... a friend of mine has a lot of bodyhair. in summer, when he wants to go swimming, he shaves completely (in fact he waxes) just nobody can call him bigfoot anymore.so it's not really a girl matter only

i think the pressure of the society is a very subjective point of view. i don't think it is as extreme as you pretend it is. my point is - there is no law, noone really forces you... but the majority like shaved women... just as the majority of all women like strong men- but does this mean i have to go bodybuilding?

minx... don't hate me for saying that - but most people also don't like bigger girls especially those who earn their money as a prostitute. i have to say that there are many people out there that consider you a freak if a woman doesnt shave. when i was at secondary school, an all girls school, you was considered a freak if you didnt shave your legs, and i have been out of school for some time now, lol

as trev is a sensible open minded and mature person he would probably be less concerned about it than i am.

a woman should only do what she likes to feel good about herself but some times us women find it hard to know what you blokes like as you have the annoying habbit of not telling us if you like what we look like and how we feel etc.

i have to say that when tev is away i dont bother shaving my legs as most of time i am wearing trousers so you cant see if there are any hair or not. if i am wearing a skirt tho i do shave my legs as even tho i normally wear either tights or stockings i feel self conscious knowing that my legs have stubble underneath and i dont like the feeling.

i know that normally when i go out i look good but then so does my trev when he goes out so most of time i want to look good so i dont let him down. like most women i wear make up but to be honest it is mostly to hide the bits i dont like, like my freckles or make them at least less noticable. for some of us we do things to make us feel good about ourselves and not because we are expected to do these things. some times we can feel good about ourselves just by wearing sexy lingerie even tho you blokes cant see it

I think you're seeing this from a male point of view still. And as for your comments about me...I don't think my size and job are related...and whilst society might not generally approve its not something you have to deal with if you don't choose to. I can choose to keep quiet about it or tell the people I want to know. I don't dress up or wear make up to fit in though, if I wanted that desperately to fit in I wouldn't do/have done an awful lot of stuff. I wear make up for me, if I can't be bothered it's simple and I just don't wear it, if I want to walk round in my comfy stuff regardless of how it looks then fine I do and nobody bats an eyelid. However...if a woman walks round with hairy armpits or legs or facial hair then all hell breaks loose.

I don't think that, as a man, you understand the pressure, why would you after all.

I too was at an all girls school for a while and it was an issue then, but at 12/13 when I started getting my legs waxed then in between waxes I'd get comments from the boys because we had to wear skirts. I'm very light skinned and very dark haired, so it shows. I hate to think how much money I've spent on hair removal over the years!! Partly because of my colouring and partly also because of a medical condition.

Yes I do stuff to feel good about myself, but if I'm not working or going out I don't usually bother shaving my legs, my husband doesn't mind, and thats what gets me about the blokes and their comments. And I also know friends of mine don't bother either! Then again I know women who wouldn't dare do a lot of things in front of their partner, particularly in regards to hair removal!

Yes, evolution will, even if it`s gonna take many thousends years (I don`t wanna wait that much!), same for man and woman (of course)
...and of course all that crap about "duties of a modern woman" is silly for me; there are no duties! Just choices!

@@ minx... well - i didn't realize that there is so much presasure on a modern women... still for me - as one who likes girl shaved - it isn't so importand if you really are shaved. i really thought everyone would think that way...

but it is an interresting topic ... i'll study the girls here - to check out if really every girl is shaved ...

oh - and btw... did you know that i learned something very importand?

i allways thought you call it public hair in english - and i wondered why it would be called "public" - after looking it up in my dictionary i found out it's called pubic hair -quite a difference right?

Yes big difference between pubic and public, although I suppose the English language couldn't make it easy for you.

Interesting point about evolution. When the selective pressure to retain a gene is lost, it doesn't necessarily get extinguished. So, even though there may be no survival advantage in pubic hair nowadays, it doesn't follow that it will disappear.

I had also mused in the past on the anomaly that Minx referred to, that shaved pubic hair renders the vulva more juvenile looking, and wondered if that means anything about a bloke's predilection for immature girls. I'm pretty sure it means nothing of the sort- the overall picture of a sexually mature woman with shaved genitals is not that of a child, taking into account body shape, tits, facial cues to age and the fact that the labia minora are visible in most post-pubertal women.
