Thanks CB, I will see to making a txt doc of the files I plan on deleting for you to browse... and any question will be answered about them. Crazy as it sounds Bimboy yes deletion. I used to play the backup thing with CDs but then it was hard to find anything and it could not be rewritten. Then once I got enough HD space to work with I looked again many files could not be read from the CDs and it pissed me off. I spent alot of money on backing up to CD and it was for shit. Now I just use external HDs and it is great. But rather then keep buying more I figure it is about time to 'overhaul' my collection....

Actually I'm doing the same thing - mainly because CD/DVD's are SOOO slow.
Fortunately 99% of my stash has worked fine so far (Verbatim rules).

6 x 500GB + room for two more = LOTS of free space, still : )
