OK, folks... here's the deal.

I used to frequent this site quite regularly and enjoyed it very much. I found this place and 4 or 5 months later, i had to leave, which was apparently just before some sort of site crash or something. now i'm back, and although i don't sense any real changes myself, i'm getting the feeling that a lot of the "old timers" here are growing dissatisfied with the way things are.

i can't tell if it's merely differences between this "new" board and the old one (possibly "gold part" rules or something...), or maybe rules regulating members signatures (there seem to be some members who are intolerant of other peoples signatures...). i've read some concerns about members leaving (women in particular) leaving the board under some suspicious circumstances, eluding to unhappiness in some way.

so, what the hell's wrong with everyone? i'm not trying to mediate any type of answer, but i thought maybe just one thread where everyone could voice there concerns, if any, might help.

The crowd has seemed to change when the push was made from the top for the member base to grow. Many of the members seem to have an agenda when they get hear, rather than look around and join in where it seemed right. I see alot of NEW thread that dont seem to serve any purpose other than to make the posters post count higher. All these new unnecessary topics make it tedious to find a good topic to read, or content to dl.

I sense it alienates members to have thier posts taken from them to be locked up in gold section. How would you feel if you only had 5 proud topics and 3 of them get taken from you for "others" to enjoy in private. My good friend Crisco has posted some of the best stuff but many of his posts are locked away, where he cannot get to it. And it is a shame "The Board" doesnt concider a member like him who has shared some of the MOST board oriented material to be a good member. I feel alot of those types of member sharing the rarer stuff have moved on or shut up... there is no bonus of sharing -not even a hope of a thanks. One such old timer has let all his pics and files die, and I suspect it if from GOLD FEVER FRUSTRATION.

I agree with anllover. Yes we have a fairly large base, but we have a great deal of the originals here that make this forum a lot of fun. Most came from the long lost 'E's gaping assholes. 'E's is where 'X', Gershi, and myself were posters and 'X' wanted to do a site on his own, when 'E's went bad. He started by building a pick post that we sent images to him via email. Hell I even had a yahoo group strictly for "Ze gape". that 'X' was a part of. It was a lot of fun trading and sharing photos. But alas the net was much smaller and hardcore porn was harder to come by. See my original topic on this here.
Sure, you have the leachers and the bad attitudes, (which I choose to ignore) newbies, pups and the old guard all vying for space and voice here. But as far as what has changed? I think all of us have changed, because the current world we live in has. Accessibility. Speed. Etc. It has allowed us to see things quicker.
Maybe that's not right but I think it is probably true. Just to give you an example; I get AVN (Adult Video News) every month delivered to me as a former member of the biz. well, i was a gold member when i was here last (before the crash...), and while i can't say that membership didn't have some benefits, i can say that the number of new posts in the gold section were much less than in the general board, and there wasn't really a lot going on. but the oddest thing was that after i made my "donation", the rules changed for gold membership about a month later, and i was summarily excused. as in, "sorry, you're no longer golden." it didn't really bother me because i mainly donated just because i was getting some entertainment from the site as a whole and wanted to help out. i was even working with xthorgal on some artistic ideas for the site, but then i had to leave altogether.

aside from that, i'd be interested to see how the present membership totals compare to what they were back then.

besides saying "thanks for the porn and all!" when downloading from a particular thread, i really only remember interacting with a handful of people on the discussion boards. none of it was life changing... just a brief distraction. i can remember feeling like i had maybe helped some people out who were just getting into anal play, and that was fulfilling.

so maybe, since the general discussion area of this board is auxiliary to it's main purpose, that being a fetishists' forum for the exchange of dirty little films and photographs, we should take it as it comes. if, by some miracle, we find a topic which is actually exhilarating in some way, fantastic! if we can help guide someone with answers that they may not be able to find elsewhere (which, by the nature of some of the topics discussed here, is a distinct possibility...), great!

You know TBTB, I did think that I had changed. But one look at the oldies and it was confirmed. The product of yesteryear was much better. Hi m8, in some way you are right: this is still a very good board, definetly above average, it`s still my favored one. But what the topic on about here is...well, it used to be even better! I found already the answer to the question "Why?": there are much more members now and the cameratism once developed between a bunch of members is getting diluted more and more until you have to look very well to find it. But if you look well you DO find it! There was a previous version of this site which got delated couple years ago, if you wasn`t a member of it you might not know what all this fuzz is about..
So, anyhow, glad to see there are members that still appreciate our board,

Yeah Curiousb and it's true that some talkative members don't post so often now. Even Gninori and Gershi have less time to surf here and their contribution was very important in the last boards on that point IMO. (^^^)
And I may add that now we mods have a Mods Corner where we talk and bullshit a lot, so it doesn't appear on the board anymore.
