funny, just the other day i thought about opening the same topic. but then i said to myself: 10 movies are way to less. but how many movies do you have to name to name all your fav movies?

let me think about this list for some days. but it will surely be longer than 10 movies.

deciding for only ten films is like making a "sophie's choice", too hard to live up to with tongue.gif
well, maybe you dont know that book or film, but it was to say, as gershi does, that such a list takes time and a hard selection crazy.gif

First a tip to z3n0mal4, since you like Star Wars so much, watch Akira Krosawa's Hidden fortress and be amazed...

A top 10 would simply be impossible, so here's a (some, indefinite, temporary) list of movies that have left a great impression:

Apocalypse Now (The horror!... The HORROR...)
Abre los Ojos (way better than the Vanilla Sky remake - sorry, Tom)
Amores Perros (still Inaritu's best)
Blue Velvet (Lynch for President! - now THAT would be a laugh!)
Batman (Nicholson+Burton=GENIUS!)
The Big Lebowski (The Dude abides)
Brazil (Gilliam is higly underrated!)
C'est arrivé près de chez vous aka Man Bites Dog (proud to be Belgian!)
Citizen Kane (those dialogues! retorica at it's best)
Cidade de Deus aka City of God (Raw beauty)
Drugstore Cowboy (what a romantic fool I am...)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Gilliam again...)
Fight Club (...and again)
Gattaca (style AND substance)
Ikiru (man can do beautifull things too)
Intacto (Spanish mindblaster)
Koyaanisqatsi (yep, not only romantic but soft too)
Leaving Las Vegas (still an option)
LOTR (nuff said)
Memento (still looking for mistakes...)
Mulholland Drive (how I'd like to spend one day in Lynch's mind)
One flew over the Cukoo's nest (essential cinema)
Pulp Fiction (like probably everyone of my generation, I know it by heart)
Reservoir Dogs (I would like to be Mr Candy Lime Green )
Sonatine (a gem by Kitano)
Team America (nearly pissed my pants laughing)
The Terminator (I was only a boy when I saw this one, it blew my mind)

And I could go on like this forever... Edited by mxdil

Nice Mxdil selection I support at 95%. Didn't see them all. wink.gif Got to see Team America fast to celebrate the sept 11th anniversary !!

But it' lacks of comedies like always when people try to point out the chef-d'œuvres IMO. sad.gif (^ ^) crazy.gif

Nice movies, but I cannot stop from adding:
1. Dead Man
2. The Big Lebowsky
3. Fantozzi (1 and 2... for Italians only, thou)

And these go straight to the top, in my list

p.s. oops, Lebowsky was there already... Sorry for repost! (lol) Edited by baro25
