I do get in larger toys, though only with anilotion or similar. Actually, then I get in 14 cm anally and 16 cm vaginally. The trick really is to first paralyze your muscles.

My anus can completely take the "XL Humungous Butt Plug" which is 4.5" inches at the widest point (11.4cm).

But this is a bit misleading since soft plugs like the XL Humungous can be compressed laterally. This means they can be squeezed past the narrow pelvic bones that would otherwise limit your maximum width.

By way of a counter-example, the widest rigid toy that I can take is a 750ml Baileys Irish Cream bottle (I've also taken Champagne bottles, but they have the same width as the Baileys bottle). The Baileys bottle is close to the limit of what my pelvic bones can accommodate but it is somewhat slimmer than the XL Humungous.
