  I think it depends on how stretched you were and how long you went without stretching. In terms of exercise science once a week is sufficient to maintain flexibility and I dare say the ass is probably the same. I've let it go for 3-6 months and it does take a month or two (once per week at least) to get back to the previous stretch.

The 2 L Coke bottles over here are 4.5" in diameter and obviously that isn't going to happen. But with a bottle that is similar in diameter to the 1.5 L, but taller, sure.
