  1. I can't comment on Ohyes or ImAlina's experience, but can say first hand that Darthvin is on the ball there about that amount of progress and rest. I personally experienced the desire to just get right in there and blast my ass apart as hard and often as I could... temperance is a virtue for anal training. Give your butt a break from days to a week or so (all bodies are different). It's very much like working out with weight training and exercise. As much as I was tempted to go every day or multiple times a day (which, granted, I succumbed to on occasion) I also took breaks every other day, for three days, and all the way up to two weeks. That worked for me, your mileage may vary.
  2. Flexibility and angle play a way bigger part than most people comprehend (at least more than I expected). I started working towards self-fisting a bit over a year ago. I think it took about two months of dedication to finally get past the knuckles even though I could handled toys roughly the same width. Mental relaxation plays a big part too, but so does being able to accommodate the girth. The position that finally did it for me was doggy style and bracing my forearm/wrist against the wall for leverage. After that it was just a matter of (not much) time and I was able to manage it without the wall and just doing it doggy style, sometimes needing to lean forward and sometimes back. And remember the lube, at least/ especially when getting started until your body gets used to accommodating.
  3. One of the things that aesthetically attracted me to fisting and stretching are the occasional videos or images of someone with a wide gaping hole (or not even that wide ). If I were to verbally describe it I'd say the hole was "smooth", see attached image. When I fist myself, pretty much 100% of the time the tissue inside my ass is, I guess, "swollen".   4. Triumph! I own my success, in no small part, to the advice from many people on the board, as well as others' postings. As of yesterday I can reliably and comfortably fist myself. Around Christmas was the first time I managed, with great effort, to fit my hand wrist deep inside myself. It was amazing and a bit of a surprise. However for several weeks thereafter it was very challenging to repeat, and with minimal success. I continued to focus on pain-free stretching. For discretion's sake I don't own any ready-made stretching plugs, but I managed to fashion my own toys. My go-to warm up was 2.4" diameter which went from 0 to 100% thickness in <0.5" of depth. My next step up (2.8" diameter) had the same sort of acceleration, even now it's super tight going in. My thickest toy goes from 2.8" to 3.1" within 4" of length (full length of 10" but I haven't made it past 5"); it is way too rigid but I make due with what I have. note: IMHO, a longer and more gradual taper would have been a big help. A bit over a week ago, after stretching for 5-10 minutes I put the tools aside and tried fisting again. It worked, and much more smoothly! But the position was not comfortable at all: Doggie style, hand reaching over my back between my cheeks, then pressing my forearm perpendicular against the wall and using the leverage of the wall to push inside. My ass felt fine, a VERY tight fit, but fine. It was the pressure against my forearm that was killing me, it felt tender for 1-2 days afterwards. I did this off and on every few days over the past week when the soreness in my arm was gone; the same position but trying different arm, wrist, and pelvic angles. Earlier this week I struck gold. I used the same position but leaned *forward* (ignoring the wall entirely). I'd clearly loosed up a bit but the angle enabled me to get my hand wrist deep on my own. It was AWESOME! I was able to fist-fuck myself on my own. Yesterday I was able to do it without using any toys to warm up. Victory! lol My next milestone is to continue loosening myself up so I can fist myself in more comfortable positions. The current doggie style is NOT conducive to jerking off at all. As good as it feels to fist myself... it would be an added bonus to do it while masturbating and cumming. I just wanted to share that. Thanks everyone! Onward!
  5. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone (or just happy weekend, if you don't partake ;) ) I have an update, mostly good :) . After my last post I took 1.5 weeks completely off from any anal play. I'd planned to take off longer, but after 10 days I was super horny and gave in. I kept it simple and gentle: four fingers scrunched up in the typical "I want to fist myself" duckbill (I still can't crest the knuckles). It felt insanely good, better than I remembered and I nearly came from nothing but penetrating myself for ten minutes. That has never happened before, nothing even close! Afterwards, my anus was still healed from the break and I came out totally unscathed from the play. So I did it the next day too. Same deal and same result. On the third consecutive day I upped the ante and was able to use a 2 inch diameter toy with barely any warm up. That was also a first, as it previously took a fair amount of play before I could tightly squeeze in the toy with some effort. But not this time! I was surprised how easy it slid in and how good it felt. I was tempted into my fourth consecutive day, which is where I ran into a minor error in judgment. I was carefully pushing slightly thicker then I'd ever gone before and after many attempts and many more minutes the tell tale crimson trails eventually revealed themselves. Interestingly... it isn't the same cut as before. In fact the original cut has remained healed and didn't reopen from any of the recent play. This new split is a tad larger that the original (by half a millimeter?) but didn't hurt more than the original. Oddly, this split is even more on the outside of my anus than the original. The silver lining is that I was able to go thicker than ever before. The toy that did the damage is oblong at about 2.5 inches at its most narrow and a bit over 3 inches at its thickest point. Three inches! (for context, the toy that has historically caused the bleeding is 2.7 inches in diameter in a perfect circle). Before I wrapped up the session I also tried to fist myself again, and while it wasn't successful, I went even deeper than before the 10 day break. Since then, I took a couple days completely off (and will take more). However, today I played very carefully just to get a feel for how things are healing up down there: Four fingers no problem. 2 inch diameter toy... no problem. Ultimately I score this as a net win :) . I'm going to take another break of at least a week and see how things feel. That's where things are at so far. PS. I don't know whether diet is a contributor to how well I've healed in the 10 days, but for many years now I've avoided gluten and almost all grains and eat food high in high in protein and animal fat.
  6. Thanks for the link to your thread, @jackshit, it was very helpful, especially the recent updates. I'm starting to think my 'concern' is likely just being new stretching and wanting to be careful. You only get one asshole! Right now 'play' is ~2.5" diameter (same depth) while 'stretching' is 2.75-3" (same depth... although I can take up to 8" deep, right now I'm only into girth). If I take a stretching break of a few days after bleeding, the bleeding stops and then the next stretch usually causes less bleeding than what initially set it off. I'm not even sure whether what I experience is technically a "fissure". The split is always very minor and very near the anal opening; in fact I can feel the split with my finger without making any penetration when my sphincter is dilated from minimal play. Given the cut and bleeding is so minor, but also not wanting to make it worse in the long run, I wonder whether I should take a longer break after bleeding? Or is it so minor ("it's only a flesh wound!") that waiting extra is unnecessary? The only pain is when soap gets on the split, should I just go for it and not wait longer, or no? That's what I'm trying to figure out now.
  7. I was literally about to ask this same question in a new thread. I've only been playing for a few months and the bleeding only occurs when I'm pushing >2.5" diameter. There's no pain at all while playing, but the first sign is very small amounts of blood in the lube. Afterwards the "sting" is present for about 2-3 days but really only when I wipe and clean down there (shower). The split is very near my ass' opening. I also wondered whether I should take longer breaks between playing/stretching (basically I play every other day OR I wait a day or two after the sting/bleeding totally stops; and I play to stretch 1-2 times a week). I wondered whether I was risking anything long term (e.g., chronic fissure reopening?), or will the splitting really only be a nuisance when stretching (e.g., it doesn't bleed any more <2.5")? Not trying to hijack the OP, and maybe my experience and questions might also help
  8. I'm not in a position where I can discretely purchase plugs to stretch with. Are there any recommendations for safe DIY paraphernalia for stretching? I'm solely interested in girth (presently 2.75" diameter and going up) and prefer to keep length as short as possible. Thus far I've been wrapping CAT5 cables in interesting and versatile ways as DIY plugs, but they're too annoying to work with (and they become very rigid once coiled, which I've found sucks for stretching).   9. Thanks gang! I've actually made pretty good progress since my earlier posts. As I've increased the girth I can comfortably manage, I've run into a new anatomical barrier, so to speak. On either side of the anus there are relatively hard "things", lol. I'm not sure whether they're the under/inner side of the pelvic bone, pelvic floor ligaments or what (pelvic diagram) /shrug/. Anyway, while my sphincter seems more than happy to saw 'ah', these bits of body stuff are less enthusiastic. I definitely never encountered them when I was working with just a few fingers or thinner toys. At about 3" horizontal diameter is where they come into play, so they're definitely in the way for a duck-billed fist. I have worked past them on two different sessions, it was very tight but not painful nor uncomfortable, just... stubborn. And the 2nd session I was able to more comfortably repeatedly penetrate Perhaps I'm being overly cautious, but I figured I'd inquire back here in regards to what the secret is of working past them (other than more lube ). Maybe this is really just the mind over matter I keep encountering when reading about becoming comfortable with (self) fisting.   11. I'm in my 30s and recently rediscovered the pleasures of self-anal stimulation. I love it to such an extent I'm building up to be able to fist myself. I was hoping for some guidance (yes, I know that everyone's body is unique) : How should I pace myself for taking thicker toys? How frequent, how much time, what duration? Just some ideas I want to avoid tearing or stretching my sphincter more than it's ready for (avoid incontinence!). But of course I want to level up my ass as soon as is safely practical. I went from 5.5" circumference to 8.5" circ (granted I've used ~7.5" circ toys before, but it's been a few years). I've been doing it ~15 minutes a day for a week, some days I'd do it multiple times times a day. The 8.5 is a very tight fit, there's no "pain" just the "oh my god this feels so tight until it actually yields" sensation, and then I can fuck my ass at a slow to moderate pace.
