Help! my downloads are going to Notepad, as code.

Normally, when I download video clips they open in a player I specified, but the other day a window came up "Choose an associated file" when I tried to download something and stupidly I chose Notebook. Now all my downloads open in Notebook - as code! Can anyone tell me how to change back? How to get that window back so I can undo what I did, or where to go so I can change back to the media player I had before? I've got many videos saved and they still open normally, but anything I download now goes to Notepad and is unusable.

RIGHT click your dl
click OPEN WITH
then search out your program,
make sure you click ALWAYS USE THIS PROGRAM
and then OK...

should be a fix

My thanks to you guys. I will do that next time. I fixed it crudely by doing a system restore, but now I am prepared for the next time thanks to your help.

heh , system restore is ok , unless u did other changes during that period of time .
