Techie help needed

Ok, this isn't related to this site obviously!

I am having problems connecting to certain sites....no, not all the dodgy ones before you ask!!!!!

I can connect to google, my banking sites etc and here of course but can't connect to other sites that i use all the time. I can connect to my partners hotmail account but not mine. All a bit weird.

Please, can someone tell me what the hell is going on???

Any help would be much appreciated before i go off the head

You can "connect to" one Hotmail-account but not to another ?!?

What are the symptoms ?

When it is trying to connect it eventually times out and says that it can't connect, Saying that it seems that i am not connected to the internet but i clearly am.

sometimes i have a simalar problem... but a restart normally fixes it.

i will never understand computers.

Well, after 4 days my comp has started working properly again
