What do you think about Max Hardcore?

I was just browsing the movies section and encountered a Kelly Wells scene, where she gets the Max Hardcore treatment. Normally I'd download ANY scene with KW, but after viewing the preview, I decided not to coz I found it appaling. I have nothing against throat fucking, golden showers or a little forced sex, but Max just ruins it for me.

Just wanted to know how the fellow members here think about this 'icon'.

Max has been in the industry for many, many moons. He has fought for freedom in this biz, been in jail for his beliefs, and continues to push the envelope of hardcore weather we like it or not. He has truly been a pioneer in Lighting, Editing, Multi Camera use, and was one of the first to make the jump to dv-cam when everyone else was using hi 8 and beta.

Now for the bad. Max, for better or worse, has always had an edge to is material. The choking, fisting, pissing of his current stuff and the little girl get-ups and gagging in his old stuff are all part of the schtick and are growning ever tiresome for me. I have talked to him about pursueing other ideas and that he needs to do something else, but he loves what he does and there is no changing that.
Some of his early work I will always treasure. Banging Tammi Ann poolside and giving her the anal attack she so desperately deserved. Plowing J.R Carrington, in a horse shed with the horses watching is the stuff an icon is made of. While we all may not agree on his current shooting style, you can't argue that he did change the industry in a time when the industry needed change.
A Maverick and a Pioneer. For that we must bow...

I think America is facing a great moral crisis at the moment, certainly from the state that livesof the film industry, mainstream and porn.

I'm sorry to say, but I'm getting the impression that the USofA is getting adrift. It's ok to show how a dozen people get gutted, their brains blown out or beaten to death (all in a prominent and gratuitous manner) but you can't show a single female nipple. It's not ok to have a drink under 21 or smoke a spliff (and facing a long time in prison on the posession of as little as a single joint) but any sixteen year old can drive a heavily poluting SUV or a sportsbike with more horsepower than weight in kilo's. I guess I'm too dumb to understand...

FWIW, I generally stay in the shadows around here, but I feel compelled to add my opinion. Over the years something about Max has always creeped me out, and I was surprised to find that apparently I am not alone. I appreciate Max's trailblazing efforts in this world of wonderful buttholes, however, I don't tend to watch his films simply because he has a demeaning manner about him when he has sex with women on film, not a bdsm manner, but a disrespectful manner that for whatever reason tends to deflate my libido rather than pique my interest. I'm certain some people find his ways exciting, and that is why he is still on the scene making money....but I tend to think this little unscientific poll is probably pretty accurate.
