For me the trip matters more than the destination: I'm in no hurry to reach specific goals. Sometimes I look behind me, and see the distance I have already covered: I can now take my old favorite 6.2 cm smooth plug with no preparation and no lube, and keep it for hours. A 6.7 cm plug has replaced it as my main toy, and I'm increasingly getting used to it. A 7.0 cm plug is giving me trouble, mostly because of its deep cylindrical shape and rough texture. I've been big on firm, fresh apples lately, often inserting them as soon as I'm back from work. I'm currently holding a 6.5 cm one which is giving me many great sensations, and plan to try a 7.5 cm one in a few moments. I've read about the accidents of some members of this forum, especially when going deep, and a doctor friend of mine (who has no idea about our fetish) detailed to me how thin membranes become as you go deep--as thin as cigarette's paper. For all these reasons, and for getting a little bloody every time I go too deep, I have absolutely no intention of exploring this way.

It won't help you build a wider gape: once you've managed to put it in, your sphincter will close back to "almost normal" (and you might have difficulty getting it out again).
