  1. JJ Fad-Supersonic [1988] This is off their same named platinum debut album in 1988. It was on Eazy-E's label, Ruthless Records, and it was produced by ex-N.W.A. members, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, and Arabian Prince. They were the first female rap group to be nominated for a Grammy. I've never been a fan of these ladies for their rap skills left much to be desired and have always been intrigued by how successful this song was as I always thought it was run-of the-mill. They are currently planning a tour with the surviving members of The Fat Boys. Hope someone youtubes a piece of that tour as I would like to see what dance steps these ladies are doing 21 yrs after their song came out. check out the video CODEhttp://www.megavideo.com/?v=UOAZHJ3W d/l the video CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/256049058/YouTube_-_J_J_Fad.........._Supersonic.avi d/l the track CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/256049059/JJ_Fad_-_Supersonic.mp3
  2. Bow Wow Wow-Do you wanna hold me [1983] This is their stand out hit off their 3rd album back in Feb. of 1983, When the going gets tough, the tough get going. This band was created by Malcolm McLaren, who previously managed the New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols. He somehow got all the entire band from Adam and the Ants to defect and join Bow Wow Wow instead and then adding to the group, 14 yr old, Annabella Lwin. They are considered pioneers of the new wave moment by some and thieves of melodies from Zulu jive songs and Zulu pop songs by others. 3. Madonna-Justify my love [1990] The first single off the Immaculate Collection album and it went to reaching as high as #1 in some countries and #2 in several others. This song was composed by Lenny Kravitz, Madonna and one time Prince-protege, Ingrid Chavez. Kravitz kept Ingrid's name out of the credits and then had to pay a large out-of-court settlement as Ingrid had written the majority of this song. That added to the controversy of this single as it was one of the first videos to be banned from Mtv and subsequently became the highest selling video single of all time. A laid back track with seducing music and Madonna whispering and sighing the verses. check out the video CODEhttp://www.megavideo.com/?v=I2JLWRFA d/l the video CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/247609431/Madonna_-_Justify_My_Love__Banned_Version_.mpg d/l the track CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/247610388/Madonna_-_Justify_My_Love.mp3
  4. Queen-Another one bites the dust [1980] Angry funk from this British pop/rock crew, off their 1980 multi-platinum album The Game. This track earned them their only Grammy nomination. Excellent track, the kind that transcends genres. Proof?? It went to #1 on the pop charts AND #2 on the R&B charts at the same time. Here's a bit of interesting trivia. The group didn't even think about releasing this as a single until Michael Jackson suggested it after one of their concerts. check out the video http://www.megavideo.com/?v=6OF3VJ9R d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/242866450/Quee...ust_-_VIDEO.mpg d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/242871788/Anot...ust_-_Queen.mp3
  5. Inner City-Power of Passion [1989] This is off their first album, Paradise/Big Fun, in 1989. It had great success in the U.S., having 4 tracks that went to #1 on the dance charts. This is an excellent ballad that gets lost on this album because of classics like Big Fun and Good Life. I never heard it on the radio but it deserves to be shared and listened to. I did a homemade video to it so you guys can listen and enjoy it. listen to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaWhaCKTO2U d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/239105737/Inne..._of_Passion.wma
  6. Lee Ritenour-Is it you [1981] Here's a excellent smooth jazz/pop hit that went up to # 15 on the charts from a world renowned jazz guitar player who has over 30 albums, 17 grammy nominations-winning 1, has over 3000 studio sessions...This is off his 11th album, Rit. On vocals is Mr. Eric Tagg. check out the video http://www.vsocial.com/video/?d=259564 d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/237382617/Lee_...r-Is_it_you.flv d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/237383714/04._Is_It_You.mp3
  7. Change-Hold Tight [1981] Off their second album, Miracles, here's a very good track that went to #40 on the R&B charts. Luther Vandross sang back up on this album, then took off for a solo career that we all know about. I can't find an original video so I made one up so people can at least listen to it. check out the video http://www.vsocial.com/video/?d=259155 d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/234635954/chan...__extended_.mp3
  8. Bubba Sparxxx-Ugly [2001] Off his certified gold (at least 500,000 copies) debut album n 2001, Dark Days Bright Nights, here's a white rapper from the deep south [LaGrange, Georgia-best known as a tourist attraction for bass fishermen] with the single that introduced him to the hip hop world, going to # 15 on the pop charts. Timbaland on beats. watch it CODEhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrTJnAr9Ses download the video CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/52564989/BubTimMisUg.rar download the track CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/52574823/BubSpMp.rar
  9. Patti Austin & James Ingram-Baby come to me [1983] This is R & B, classic soul. Artists just do not get down like this anymore, in my opinion. When/What was the last R&B duet that can be considered a classic? This can be found on each ones' greatest hits hits compilations. It went to # 1 in 1983 and remains in heavy rotation on any lite music station and around my house. check out the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbLaLSnH99o d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/224351562/Patt...abyComeToMe.avi d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/224353006/Jame..._Come_To_Me.mp3
  10. Heatwave-Always & Forever [1977] International funk band whose original line-up consisted of 2 americans, 2 from the UK, a spaniard and a czech. The most noticeable member of the group was Rod Temperton, who went on to make music for many artists, including for Michael Jackson. {Off the Wall, Thriller} Here's one of the best slow jams of all-time. You know how sometimes you're in a relationship and there may be a song that both of you connect with and you identify that song as "our song"? I think I had that connection with this song with about 4 different partners. A timeless track, voiced by original founding member, Johnny Wilder Jr, who two years later would be in a car accident that would leave him paralyzed from the neck down. Even the young crowd can appreciate this one. check out the video CODEhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuanH028iOo d/l the video CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/192477474/Heatwave_._Always_Forever._Live.1977.mpg d/l the track CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/192749578/Heatwave_-_Always_And_Forever_1_.mp3
  11. Doobie Brothers-What a fool believes [1979] Classic pop song that won the Grammy for best record of the year. This song was co-written and co-produced by Kenny Loggins. IMO, an absolute must for the Ipod. check out the video CODEhttp://www.smashbeats.com/v21136/doobie_brothers-what_a_fool_belives d/l the video [54.5 mb] CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/178743298/3_The_Doobie_Brothers__What_a_Fool_Believes.mpg d/l the track [3.5 mb - 128 kbps] CODEhttp://rapidshare.com/files/183084060/Doobie_Brothers_-_What_A_Fool_Believes.mp3
  12. Sylvester-Someone like you [1986] Off his 1986 album, Mutual Attraction, here's a jam that went to #1 on the dance charts. This version is an extended mix by the late DJ Larry Levan. check out the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdzZK79SoKg d/l the video [32.6 mbs] http://rapidshare.com/files/171333869/Sylv..._Levan_Mix_.wmv d/l the track [7.2 mbs - 160 kbps] http://rapidshare.com/files/172667557/SYLV...y_Levan_Mix.mp3
  13. Robbie Dupree-Steal Away [1980] Off his debut album, this catchy track went up to # 6 on the pop charts. He's not a one hit wonder and this year he put out a new album, Time and Tide, but Rob hasn't been on the charts since 1981. check out the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o3iMKfWEuM d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/149937019/Robb..._Steal_Away.wmv d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/150469685/Robb..._Steal_Away.mp3
  14. The Commodores-Still [1979] Classic R&B ballad that went all the way to #1, off the album, Midnight Magic. check out the video http://www.megavideo.com/?v=FEJD9EF0 d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/145376040/The_...dores_Still.wmv d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/145380829/commodores_-_still.mp3
  15. Phil Fearon -I can prove it [1986] Long lost & forgotten R&b jam from this british artist which went up to #8 on the pop charts in 1986. I also posted the original version [disco-1977] from 1 hit wonder, Tony Etoria. check out the video http://media.putfile.com/Phil-Fearon--The-...-I-can-prove-it d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/143268236/Phil...t__Show_Tv_.wmv d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/143269129/Phil...an_prove_it.mp3 Listen to Tony Etoria's original version. http://media.putfile.com/Tony-Etoria-I-can-prove-it d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/143421600/tony...ove_it_1977.mp3
  16. Luther Vandross-If only for one night [1985] Here's a classic R&B ballad off his 1985 album, The Night I fell in Love" which went up as high as #19 on the pop charts & #1 on the R&B charts. This single went up only to #59 on the pop charts but I'll put this one up against any male R&B ballad in the last 10 yrs and nothing comes close. Here's a live version from the late, great Luther. check out the video http://www.megavideo.com/?v=2FX4G1L3 d/l the video [33 mbs] http://rapidshare.com/files/141221826/Luth...on_Show_1-2.rar d/l the track [4 mbs - 128 kbps] http://rapidshare.com/files/141224241/Slow...r_One_Night.mp3
  17. Journey-Chain Reaction [1983] This is off their six times platinum album, Frontiers. This is a pretty decent rock song on a loaded album. This one didn't even make the charts but still worth a listen. Catchy chorus. check out the video http://www.megavideo.com/?v=P1TYQBLY d/l the video [63.71 mbs] http://rapidshare.com/files/139781550/Jour...in_Reaction.mpg d/l the track [5.9 mbs - 192 kbps] http://rapidshare.com/files/139827555/JCR_MP.rar
  18. Benny Mardones-Into the night [1980] Off his debut album, Never Run, Never Hide, here's one hell of a classic track. It's the only track to make it into the top 20 twice, once in 1980 & again in 1989 after a segment of "Where are they now" and the song was added to that playlist. It became as popular as the 1st time and made it back to the top 20. This is one of my favorite karaoke songs but I admit I can't hit that high note at the end. There are few that can. check out the video http://media.putfile.com/Benny-Mardones-Into-the-night d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/137005327/BENN...o_The_Night.mpg d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/137006320/Benn..._Could_Fly_.mp3
  19. Ambrosia-Biggest part of me Off their "One Eighty" album in 1980, which was nominated for 3 Grammys, here's an all-time classic that went to #3 on the pop charts and a song I truly still enjoy every time it comes on the radio. check out the video http://media.putfile.com/Ambrosia-The-Biggest-part-of-me d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/135709787/_MV_..._Part_Of_Me.mpg d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/135713878/Ambr..._Part_Of_Me.mp3
  20. Excellent brawl between two the the elite welterweights. The Re-match should be just as awesome. http://rapidshare.com/files/133246046/Cott...ard-2.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/133544045/Cott...ard-2.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/133727964/Cott...ard-2.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/133753604/Cott...ard-2.part4.rar
  21. I'll find one you can enjoy...But this song isn't techno, just dance/club
  22. S'Express-Theme from S'Express Off the debut album, "Original Soundtrack" of British dance act, S'Express, here's a dance/club track that went to #1 in the UK and to #1 on the US dance tracks in 1988. First time I heard this track was on a show called Dance Party U.S.A. Anyone else remember that show? check out the video http://media.putfile.com/SExpress-Theme-from-SExpress d/l the video http://rapidshare.com/files/133228825/S-Ex..._S-Express..wmv d/l the track http://rapidshare.com/files/133230542/SExp...om_Sexpress.mp3
  23. Fugees-Killing me Softly This is off the Fugees' Grammy winning multi-platinum second album, " The Score". This song also won them a Grammy in 1997 for best performance by an R&B group. I'm not too keen on people messing with classics but they did the song justice and turned it into a r&b/hip hop classic for the 90's. check out the video http://www.dailymotion.com/sirdroopy/video...ing-me-softly/1 d/l the video [41.91 mbs] http://rapidshare.com/files/29746884/Fugee...ingMeSoftly.mpg d/l the track [3.73 mbs-112 kbps] http://rapidshare.com/files/131148913/F_KMS_MP.rar
  24. Patti Labelle-Yo Mister This off her certified gold 1989 album, "Be Yourself". This is probably my favorite of all the tracks that Prince has produced for other people and it went to #6 on the R&B charts. I enjoy this track because Patti was able to use the complete range of her very powerful vocals & the subject in the song was just as strong as the track itself. check out the video http://media.putfile.com/Patti-Labelle-Yo-Mister d/l the video [28 mbs] http://rapidshare.com/files/129858818/Patt...-_Yo_Mister.wmv d/l the track [4.9 mbs- 128 kbps] http://rapidshare.com/files/129860546/PL_YM_MP.rar
  25. Off her 10th album and 6th #1 album, Discipline, here's a very good and catchy dance track. At 40+, she's still a sexy dancing machine as you'll see in the video. I was surprised to see that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis had nothing to do with this album as they've always been part of her musical direction. Maybe her hubby, Jermaine Dupri, had something to say about that. check out the video http://media.putfile.com/Janet-Jackson-Rock-with-you d/l the video [55.7 mbs] http://rapidshare.com/files/127522034/JJ_RWU.rar d/l the track [9.2 mbs-320 kbps] http://rapidshare.com/files/127522998/JJ_RWU_MP.rar
