well, i was a gold member when i was here last (before the crash...), and while i can't say that membership didn't have some benefits, i can say that the number of new posts in the gold section were much less than in the general board, and there wasn't really a lot going on. but the oddest thing was that after i made my "donation", the rules changed for gold membership about a month later, and i was summarily excused. as in, "sorry, you're no longer golden." it didn't really bother me because i mainly donated just because i was getting some entertainment from the site as a whole and wanted to help out. i was even working with xthorgal on some artistic ideas for the site, but then i had to leave altogether. aside from that, i'd be interested to see how the present membership totals compare to what they were back then. besides saying "thanks for the porn and all!" when downloading from a particular thread, i really only remember interacting with a handful of people on the discussion boards. none of it was life changing... just a brief distraction. i can remember feeling like i had maybe helped some people out who were just getting into anal play, and that was fulfilling. so maybe, since the general discussion area of this board is auxiliary to it's main purpose, that being a fetishists' forum for the exchange of dirty little films and photographs, we should take it as it comes. if, by some miracle, we find a topic which is actually exhilarating in some way, fantastic! if we can help guide someone with answers that they may not be able to find elsewhere (which, by the nature of some of the topics discussed here, is a distinct possibility...), great! but beyond that, we may be forced to wade through all the "less than desirable's" just like most of us do everyday in our real-world lives.

i thought it was excellent, even though i don't care for michael moore that much. being from the united states, it made me angry with no real recourse for justice, so now i just get to be mad now every time i think of the whole situation. like i'm just some stupid, pathetic american and people in every other country look at me with disgust...

Thanks guys... this is interesting stuff! first, anllover: when i made the "poll vs. shaft" play on words, i was merely trying to let everyone know i wanted to garner their opinion. it seems there are people on the site who want a definite line drawn between hetero and homo content and/or topics, so that was just my attempt to try and include everyone. and just for the record, while i am a heterosexual, i've lived and worked around gays and lesbians all my life, some of which i was lucky enough to call friend, so i would never cast any aspersions at anything that anyone does, as long as no one gets hurt. renny: your opinion almost exactly coincides with my own. i'm not secretive by nature, and it took me some years when i was young to learn that half of what i said might later be used against me in some way. which is a real shame! tbtb: I agree with you, although i think i may have been under a wrong assumption that people who enjoy fisting and extreme play were pretty proud about it and may even enjoy these things in small groups. but when i think about it, i can also imagine these same people being VERY quiet about those topics. i wasn't taking into consideration the person in a one-on-one relationship with a partner and not discussing their personal life outside that relationship. which, of course, was exactly my situation and i would never share anything intimate that was done between myself and the person i cared about. OK, folks... here's the deal. I used to frequent this site quite regularly and enjoyed it very much. I found this place and 4 or 5 months later, i had to leave, which was apparently just before some sort of site crash or something. now i'm back, and although i don't sense any real changes myself, i'm getting the feeling that a lot of the "old timers" here are growing dissatisfied with the way things are. i can't tell if it's merely differences between this "new" board and the old one (possibly "gold part" rules or something...), or maybe rules regulating members signatures (there seem to be some members who are intolerant of other peoples signatures...). i've read some concerns about members leaving (women in particular) leaving the board under some suspicious circumstances, eluding to unhappiness in some way. so, what the hell's wrong with everyone? i'm not trying to mediate any type of answer, but i thought maybe just one thread where everyone could voice there concerns, if any, might help.

well, i guess i have two thoughts... one, i think that women are less likely to spend much time on the site because they're just less inclined to be at the computer that much, at least the women i know are. except, of course, younger women, who might be more inclined to visit "chat" sites or something of that nature. i would bet there are some who come just for the photo and video content, but wouldn't be up for an exchange on the message board. and two, i have to agree with the right honorable mr. dickwater in saying that some of the content here is degrading to women, at least the women who aren't into being shit on and throat fucked, and they probably find that offensive. i also used to post on the old site (before the "crash" or whatever) as marcus. besides minx, i can recall maybe one or two other women posting regularly on the message board, but thats it. and as soon as i asked them for pictures of their boobs, they were outta there!
