Recovering deleted files

i've recently antecedently deleted my porn folder from my hard drive. it was hidden in a file that i deleted in a batch deletion. my question is how to i get it back? can i get it back? if there is a better forum where people may help me direct me to it. thank you.

It would have been better if you already had a retrival program on your computer because every time your computer writes something it could be overwriting parts of your deleted file but there are many good recovery programs. I don't have any to suggest because I don't have one. One thing I will suggest is anything you do not want to accidentally delete you should change the properties to "read only" and that way IF you ever do that again your computer will ask you if it is OK to delete and you will be saved in the nick of time.

It highly depends on where do you keep on your file and how big is your file. If the deleted file was relative big, there is a big possibility that your operating system overwrite the non-used space of the deleted file. Especially when you have only one partition with an active operating system (usually drive C: ).
