I am also interested in long term plug wear but still wondering about some of its practicalities. You mention you do not have to relube during the day just for the sake of it. I would be really careful with the materials. They seem to be cheap but that comes with a worry if the materials are body safe. I know no ways of really verifying this

Remember that it really depends of the material you are trying to insert. Inserting 4.5" metal plug would be much more difficult that having soft silicone of similar measurements. It all comes down to how adapting the material is to the pressure when inserting.
